Teach Kids!

All children will at some point in their lives experience a crisis. It might be living in a community that has experienced a natural disaster, having a parent or sibling who has a debilitating illness, or losing a family member to an accident.

Can you think of an opportunity that changed your life? For many teens Christian Youth In Action has been that life-changing opportunity.

Do you know which church holidays occur after Easter? Even if you didn’t grow up in a tradition that celebrated the high church calendar there’s a lot of good in remembering events from it. And one of those events is this week. Do you know which one? Here’s a hint, it’s the next big event after Jesus ascended to Heaven.

Names are important and powerful because they remind us of the people in our lives, what they’re like, and how they’ve influenced us.
What do you think when you hear the name “God.”

Do you like the way you look? It’s easy to have a harsh view of our own body. Many kids also struggle with their body image. As they grow and their bodies change, they can become uncomfortable with themselves.

What was the first thing you bought with your own money? For me, it was a sketch pad and professional paints. It’s fun to spend your hard-earned money on something you enjoy.

Is there a Satan Club in your child’s public school? There very well could be. Here’s a little background and then some advice.

What’s your go-to method for remembering important things? Personally, I make a lot of lists and set phone alerts. What about remembering Scripture? Can you memorize Scripture with the same tools? Memorizing Bible verses is important, but it can be hard. It can be hard for kids, too, but this is the time of their lives when they can more easily memorize and then have that truth in their heart for the rest of their life.

it can be hard for kids to remember anything they read that day. However, as kids memorize God’s Word, they store up God’s wisdom and guidance in their hearts. God uses this truth to help them become more like Him in their daily lives. But kids don’t always see the point of memorizing Bible verses, so they might not be motivated to make scripture memory a habit.
