ST. LOUIS — Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is conducting 50 Days of Prayer for Christmas Party Club™ ministry and training.
The 50 Days of Prayer is a worldwide prayer effort that started on November 1, working to further the ministry’s goal of reaching 12.6 million children with the true meaning of Christmas.
The “Light of Life” Christmas Party Club™ lesson and its activities include a gift that reminds children of the Gospel truths they hear and gives them the opportunity to share the Gospel with their family and friends by using the cutout page to create their own Light of Life cross.
“Last year’s overwhelming success has excited us to do even more,” says CEF Acting Vice President of Administration Fred Pry. “Our goal is to conduct 16,000 Christmas Party Club™ seminars, to train 348,000 volunteers, to conduct 367,000 clubs, and to reach 12.6 million children with the true meaning of Christmas.”
Christmas Party Club™ in 2023
Last year, CEF staff and volunteers held 295,000 clubs, reaching 9.1 million children around the world with the Gospel. Of those children, 2.5 million were counseled for salvation. This was a substantial increase from 2022, when CEF held 169,000 clubs and reached over 6.2 million children.
In addition, CEF in 2023 conducted 12,900 training seminars and trained 277,500 volunteers.
“Many children already love Christmas and know that it is a special time of year in which gifts are given, so they are very receptive to hearing about the ultimate gift from a loving God of His Son,” Pry says.
“Imagine the wonder in their hearts when they realize who Jesus is, and they understand just how much God loves them. This is life-changing. It’s why we are committing to 50 Days of Prayer for our clubs.
Through a Christmas Party Club™, many churches partner with Child Evangelism Fellowship to reach the children with the true story of Christmas. While each club is Gospel-centered, there are also teachings for saved children. CEF will connect volunteers with the training, materials and activities they need to confidently host a Christmas Party Club™.
A Christmas Party Club™ testimony
CEF of St. Lucia: “During a Christmas Party Club™ workshop in St. Lucia, many young and older people attended the training. The youngest was an 11-year-old boy. Thank God for all the youth who came out. The following Saturday, a grandmother who attended training was concerned about her grandson’s behavior issues. She was excited after going through the Christmas Party Club™ training because she had a better understanding as to why he was acting out and now felt equipped to help!
“Those who attended another training were eager to go out and tell children the true meaning of Christmas. One lady was so enthusiastic about what she learned that she committed to reaching 1,000 children through conducting five clubs!”
What is taught in a Christmas Party Club™?
Each club presents an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF. This action-packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, and fun review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme. A clear presentation of the Gospel is given, and children have the opportunity to trust the Lord Jesus as their Savior. Clubs can be used as a one-time outreach program, a party for your Sunday school and more.
