For 88 years, God has built up CEF® as an excellent resource for children’s ministry. As churches partner with CEF, together we can impact families, make a difference in inner cities, and get ministries into areas where there are no churches. Churches will benefit from the specialized training and excellent resources CEF offers and through the partnership of churches, more children will hear the Good News of Jesus.

Our Ministries

Good News Club®

Good News Club ministries take place in neighborhood settings such as homes, schools and community centers all over the world and are designed to bring the Gospel of Christ to children on their level in their environment.

5-Day Club®

In June all across the USA thousands of young people are trained to conduct 5-Day Clubs. Throughout the summer they have many opportunities to present the Gospel to boys and girls, experiencing the joy of leading others to the Lord.

Christmas Party Clubs™

Many children today don’t regularly attend church and have never heard the true meaning of Christmas. Wouldn’t it be great if thousands of children learned about the Christ of Christmas this year?

Camp Good News®

The international Camp Good News program has been an active part of the ministry of CEF throughout the years. Using CEF owned or rented facilities, trained staff maintain an exciting program focused on evangelism and discipleship.

Military Children’s Ministry

Military life can be difficult for all involved. Children in military families need people in their lives to anchor them in Jesus Christ, the Rock of Ages. A Good News Club held in a home or school in a military neighborhood provides stability and life-changing truth.

Junior Youth Challenge®

Junior Youth Challenge is an evangelistic and discipleship ministry for young people ages 11-14. This ministry bridges the gap between Good News Club and the Christian Youth In Action program and encourages young people to go on to serve in CEF ministry through CYIA™.

  • Today, we’re learning how God is growing the ministry in CEF of Virginia! We had 26 Good News Clubs meeting over the fall semester with 900+ children attending. 24 of those children have started attending church, and 44 have made professions of faith. We are thankful for the 21 church partnerships and 365 volunteers who make this happen every week- they are the most valuable part of this ministry! Here is a story from one of our clubs this year: As a start-up group for 𝘎𝘕𝘊, I would like to say this has provided insight to our volunteers and me, to really see the need for this ministry within our schools. At our school, this semester has been truly a test for the students. However, with the help of the counselors and staff at the school and the encouragement of 𝘎𝘕𝘊, these students were not focused on the tragedies but requesting prayers for the school and the families. We have been blessed to see the excitement from the kids of learning the gospel and seeing children being excited about, either getting or having a Bible. How could you not want to continue to minister to these young minds and introduce them to our Lord and Savior! #CEF #GoodNewsClub #EveryChildEveryNationEveryDay

Today, we’re learning how God is growing the ministry in CEF of Virginia! When I was four years old my mom opened our home to a Good News Club®. Though Mom was not saved, she would sit in the club each week and listen as the lesson was taught. One day after club I told my mom I wanted to be saved. My unsaved mom led me to the Lord, repeating what she had heard in club each week. Soon after that Mom was saved too. Today there are about 15 different family members in some form of Christian ministry—pastor, missionary, etc.

When I was only three, I was led to the Lord by my brother who’d been trained in a Teaching Children Effectively courseTM. A couple of years later I started going to 5-Day Club® and Good News Club® then attended Christian Youth in Action® (CYIATM) and began teaching at age 12. After six fruitful years of summer ministry as a student and one as staff, I was excited to be called into the ministry full time and be following God’s path for my life.

I started to attend Good News Club® in Sioux City, Iowa when I was about four years old. My older brother went, and I liked to go along. I so clearly remember our teacher, dear Mrs. Dora Lock and her helper Betty Ritchie. She had GNC® in the basement of her home. I remember the day she had the lesson on the crucifixion like it was yesterday. She talked about how Jesus died to pay the price for our sins and all we had to do was believe on Him and accept His free gift. I was ready to accept him that day! I attended for several years and the Scripture that I memorized and the songs we sang have stuck with me to this day. I am forever grateful for my time spent in GNC and am loving being part of it again.
