Child Evangelism Fellowship of Tennessee Inc., Greater Chattanooga Chapter, is seeking a ministry-minded individual who is being called to fill a part-time or full-time position of Ministry Coordinator.
General Responsibilities
A ministry coordinator performs the planning, execution, and supervision of Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®) ministries, such as Good News Club® and 5-Day Club®. The ministry coordinator should be able to plan and analyze, demonstrate organizational skills, and motivate people by promoting CEF programs and methods with individuals, churches, community organizations, and school districts.
Qualifications
- Believes and signs CEF Statement of Faith and manifests a Christ-controlled and disciplined life.
- Has a burden and vision to reach lost children with the Gospel.
- Has the ability to multi-task and is a self-starter; flexible.
- Has a gift for teaching adults and a love for teaching children.
- Strong computer skills in Word, Publisher, Breeze (database), PowerPoint, Excel.
- Active in a local church.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
General Responsibilities
- Complete the 12 weeks of CMI training.
- Meet all CEF state requirements.
- Support CEF through prayer and financial giving.
- Work under the direction of the CEF Local Director.
Responsibilities
Good News Club®
- Work with churches and pastors to recruit volunteers and to adopt schools.
- Work with schools and principals to open doors for Clubs.
- Build necessary relationships with:

- Department of Education
- Summer ministry program leaders and helpers
- Volunteers
- CEF leadership
- Church, school and ministry partners
- Promote the Good News Club Program among other ministries and community leaders for support, networking, information, as well as teachers, coordinators, and volunteers.
- Evaluate applications, perform interviews, and approve Good News Club workers.
- Plan and participate in training of Good News Club workers, continually encouraging them.
- Develop coordinators into club champions helping them grow their clubs, reaching more children with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Special Events
- Provide oversight to Party Clubs, which includes training and supervision of volunteer teams, as well as assisting with the clubs as needed.
- Provide oversight to Gospel Face Painting and Gospel Bracelets events, which includes training and supervision of volunteer teams, as well as assisting with the events as needed.
- Participate in and/or provide oversight of other special events, collaborating with other staff members in the planning and implementation of these special events.
Summer Ministry
- Serve weekly as a coordinator of the 5-Day Clubs teams.
- Look for additional opportunities to present the Gospel to children.
- Provide input for adjusting the program schedule as necessary.
- Encourage workers and continuously train them.
- Keep count of contacts, Clubs, children participating and salvations.
- Assist in recruiting volunteers for Five Day Clubs.
- Build mentoring relationships with workers.
- Plan and teach classes when necessary.
- Supervise practicums for helpers and teachers when necessary.
Literature
- Be very familiar with all CEF material.
- Responsible for ordering items needed for special events.
Facilities Duties
- Assist with keeping the office organized, sanitary, clean and functional.
- Help with presentation, set-up, clean up for Chapter events.
- Other duties as assigned.
