Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Annual Salary $36,000 – $40,000

A ministry coordinator for CEF of Nebraska Inc., Lincoln Chapter performs the planning, execution, and supervision of particular Child Evangelism Fellowship® ministries, such as after-school Good News Club® or 5-Day Club®. The ministry coordinator should be able to plan and analyze, demonstrate organizational skills, and motivate people.

Prerequisites

Has accepted Christ as their Savior and has demonstrated a solid walk with Christ for a minimum of five years, (pastoral recommendation required)
Has a burden to share the Gospel
Enjoys children and understands their importance to God
Trustworthy
Honorable in conversation and confidentiality, inside/outside the office
Good inter-personal skills, organizational skills and communication skills
Self-motivated
Able to multitask
Proficient keyboarding, clerical and computer skills- is familiar with email, internet, Dropbox and Microsoft Office software, Excel, Power Point, Publisher & Word
Computer graphic skills are helpful but not required.

Genral Responsibilities

Over-see existing Good News Clubs® and help to develop new Good News Clubs® within the district
Visit each Good News Club® on a regular basis
Evaluate clubs to determine ways to assist coordinators in strengthening their club – (Child Protection, Evangelism, Discipleship & Growth, Partnering with a local church)
Build quality working relationships with club coordinators, volunteers, principals & school staff
Establish ways to show appreciation to volunteers and schools i.e., birthday/Christmas cards, letters of encouragement, thank you cards, treats etc.…
Plan and help provide trainings for new volunteers
Assist coordinators at Good News Club Back to School nights and/or Open Houses as needed
Order and distribute club curriculum
Work with Office Manager to collect and keep track of volunteer forms, school forms and club permission slips and file required paperwork with the State office
Create/maintain database of volunteer’s mailing, email and phone information
Faithfully pray for Good News Clubs®, Summer Good News Clubs®, schools, the children, volunteers, staff and the Committee/Board
Keep club coordinators abreast of new CEF procedures and/or curriculum
Provide Director with monthly statistical information from Good News Clubs® and CYIA for the state reports
Help promote and develop the chapter’s Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) program and attend CYIA Camp with Summer Students
Help promote, coordinate and run the Summer Good News Clubs®
Assist in spreading the vision of CEF through varied opportunities (i.e. phone conversations, personal visits, trainings, etc.)

Other Responsibilities as Assigned

Work with the Director to develop new ways to effectively grow our ministry
Enrollment in CEF training courses
Will assist Director in organizing ministry opportunities with churches, schools and other businesses
Assist Director in fundraising events and other events promoting the ministry
Help with bulk mailings
Collaborate with fundraising committees
Provide input to the Director to help develop the yearly Strategic Plan
Assist in other duties and projects as approved by the Director
