‘Through digital ministry alone, we reached over 1 million kids in 2024. We’re gearing up to reach 1.5 million children in 2025, release 12 new animated videos and introduce an improved U-Nite Kids® app,’ said CEF Director of Digital Ministries Andrew York
ST. LOUIS — Technology is often criticized for its negative impact on children, from video game addiction to exposure to harmful content — but what if it could be harnessed to reach children with the Gospel? That’s why CEF is leveraging its U-Nite® platforms to turn technology into a powerful tool to expand its online outreach to children around the world.
“Technology is just a tool, like anything else, that we want to use to maximum advantage to teach children God’s Good News,” said CEF Director of Digital Ministries Andrew York. “We reached over 1 million kids in 2024. We’re gearing up to reach 1.5 million children in 2025, release 12 new animated videos and introduce an improved U-Nite® Kids app.”
In 2024, U-Nite®platforms reached 1,058,016 children.
“Each year, CEF remains dedicated to expanding its outreach by 15%, ensuring more children hear the Good News for the first time,” York said. “The U-Nite® platforms, along with our other ministries used worldwide, play a vital role in evangelizing and discipling young hearts.”
- U-Nite TV® uses video to share God’s Word in a fun, engaging way to help children understand and apply biblical truths to their lives.
- U-Nite Radio® unites kids with the Gospel through audio adventures with foundational and biblical truths.
- U-Nite Kids® is being updated to use games, devotionals and exciting stories to share God’s Word in a fun, engaging way to help children grow in their understanding of biblical truths and how to apply them in their lives.
Here are some of the new programs on U-Nite® platforms:
The Dino Twin Adventures: Children join Geo and Amber, the dino twins, as they explore God’s incredible creation and learn what it means to be a follower of Him.
Good News of Great Joy: When Jesus is born, angels appear to shepherds keeping watch over their flocks. They declare, “I bring you good news of great joy!” The shepherds rush to see the babe and upon seeing him, share this good news of great joy with all the people. Children will learn how they can trust Jesus as their Savior.
God’s Heart of Kindness: David becomes king and chooses to show kindness and mercy to Saul’s grandson, Mephibosheth. This act of mercy reflects how God offers forgiveness and adoption into His family through Jesus, despite human rebellion.
What Matters Most: Braden is disappointed after making the JV soccer team instead of varsity, but his dad comforts him with the story of Tim Howard, a Christian soccer player who overcame Tourette’s Syndrome to become a legend. Through this, Braden learns the importance of Christ in his life and accepts Him as Savior.
“CEF staff have done marvelous creative work, weaving these stories in ways that entertain while inspiring faith,” York said. “Every child who accesses U-Nite® platforms will find something that points him or her to Jesus.”
CEF, which was founded 88 years ago, has been establishing the Good News Club® in countries around the world for decades. Clubs are thriving worldwide, in countries including Australia, Cambodia, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uganda, and many more.
In 2023, through the combined ministries of CEF, more than 25.2 million children worldwide heard the Good News. More than 577,000 teachers were trained around the world.
