General Responsibilities
Manages communications for International Ministries to strengthen the unity and ministry of the CEF family worldwide. Supports department by gathering, preparing, maintaining, organizing, and updating information. Promotes and facilitates prayer support for the CEF ministry worldwide.
Realizes the importance of the CEF Culture Points and commits to upholding them personally and in the ministry of CEF (the importance of Godly leadership at every level, of the spiritual welfare of our workers, of prayer as our foundation, of evangelizing children, of a clear and Biblical presentation of the Gospel and of a commitment to excellence, for the glory of God).
Specific Responsibilities
- Receives, reads, and distributes newsletters received by International Ministries from international field.
- Seeks out news and information to promote the international work of CEF, providing it to various departments (GPM department, Creative Services, Communications & Marketing, etc.) via the Newsletters and Stories folder. Assist in providing stories for specific projects as time allows.
- Follows up on story leads by contacting international missionaries, scheduling interviews and Zoom recordings, and requesting written testimonies/photos/videos
- Assists IM leadership in communication plans, special projects, and strategic planning
- Creates and updates International Ministries presentations for ministry promotion, donor and board reports, briefings, and IM-related events
- Promotes international prayer by communicating prayer needs in International Prayer Fellowship newsletter, for chapel services, and to CEF staff
- Writes and publishes newsletter updates to CEF international field and prayer partners via Constant Contact, WhatsApp, and print
- Keeps records of country status, security level, contacts, etc. and updates staff as needed
- Enforces communications guidelines for sharing sensitive ministry information
- Facilitates layout and printing of all print projects for IM department
- Manages IM communications channels (inquiries to [email protected] and phone), answering general questions and forwarding messages to appropriate individuals as required
- Maintains, updates, and assigns logins for the IM portion of staff website
- Coordinates or assists in coordinating Zoom livestreamed events with translation including CPC Celebration, Together in Prayer Celebration, World Day of Prayer
- Assists in preparation for (as assigned by supervisor) IM-related meetings, conferences, workshops, CMI classes, etc.
- Acts as liaison with communications managers of other departments to see that efforts are unified
- Supervises International Ministries department intern
