Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

District Team Leader $14 Hourly

Child Evangelism Fellowship Virginia, Central Chapter is seeking a ministry-minded individual who is being called to fill a District Team Leader (DTL) position. The DTL will plan, execute and supervise the Good News Clubs® /5-Day Clubs® within the assigned geographic area. The expectation is that the DTL will work 20 hours per week.

General Responsibilities

The DTL is a part-time staff position of the Central Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship® of Virginia, Inc., The DTL will also work together with the Local Committee in promoting CEF programs to individuals, churches, community organizations, and school districts.

Specific Responsibilities

Ensures Quantity (growth) of the Good News Clubs in schools in the District
Promotes expansion of the GNC program in new schools in the District
Makes GNC program known via interactions with others in the communities
Informs Director and Good News Club Coordinator of key contacts and PR opportunities
Promotes the growth of established clubs via invitation to new children to attend

Ensures Quality of Good News Clubs in schools in the District
Conducts periodic visits to clubs and evaluates adherence to CEF Policies, especially:
Quality in instruction (all GNC components taught), and
Quality in student care (evangelism, discipleship, safety & fun)

Oversees GNC Team Leaders and their teams
Ensures all team participants are reported on Club Roster with Child Protection clearance
Monthly Statistical Reports (Stats) are reported to chapter office no later than 10 days
Communication is maintained between club, sponsoring church and Chapter Prayer Coordinator
Administrative responsibilities are completed
Facilitates contact with school offices as needed to accomplish club arrangements

Meets regularly with Local Coordinator/Director and provides monthly written report
Accomplishes other tasks as requested by Local Director.

Qualifications

Must be able to agree to and sign CEF’s Statement of Faith, and should be able to demonstrate a balance approach to Christian living in:

  • A daily walk with the Lord.
  • In good standing with a church.
  • Efficient use of resources.
  • Willing to abide by the purpose and policies of Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc.
  • Ministry-spiritual leader with humbleness and submission to the Lord as a servant leader.

Comments

Paid on an hourly basis for CEF work. This includes conference attendance. Tuition for Teaching Children Effectively, Level 1 course.
