ST. LOUIS — Summer can be a minefield for parents who want their children to watch or listen to biblically based programs instead of secular media. That’s why Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) has worked hard to provide meaningful alternatives.

During 2023, at least 1,703,380 children interacted with digital content on U-Nite and other platforms.

“We know that kids are drawn to smartphones, computers and TV screens, so we have made it our mission to provide high quality, entertaining, Godly material on CEF’s U-Nite TV, U-Nite Radio and U-Nite Kids,” said Andrew York, Director of Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Digital Ministries.

“It’s important to expose them to faith-based messages early in life.”

The value of early childhood education cannot be overemphasized.

“Research has shown that a child’s spiritual foundation and view of the world is developed within their first six years of life,” writes Dr. Jennifer Sturgeon in an article published by Northwestern College. “When children hear consistent messages about Christianity at home, at church, and at school, it solidifies their understanding of God and they can practice His teachings in a variety of settings.”

On U-Nite TV, God’s Word is shared in a fun, engaging way to help children understand and apply biblical truths to their lives. They can stream animated adventures that teach truths from the Bible, music videos to learn and memorize God’s Word, and stories that clearly share the Gospel. U-Nite TV’s full library can be accessed from a laptop, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV and Roku.

U-Nite-Radio engages kids with the Gospel through adventures and foundational, biblical truths. The short episodes teach children through exciting stories. Episodes can be downloaded so children can listen anytime and anywhere. A new episode every week alternates between Good News Devos and Good News Heroes.

Good News Devos gives biblical foundations such as who God is, the basics of understanding the Bible and the 10 Commandments. Good News Heroes follows the characters Logan and Piper as they learn about heroes of the faith like Cameron Townsend, Lottie Moon and George Muller.

On U-Nite Kids, God’s Word is shared in a fun, engaging way to help children grow in their understanding of biblical truths and how to apply them in their lives. They can play adventure games that teach truths from the Bible, complete daily devotions, earn achievements, memorize God’s Word and get answers to common biblical questions. All of this is available on Android and iOS.

“CEF’s Digital Ministries are offered around the world, in addition to our exciting In-Person Ministries.” York says. “These include Good News Club®, a weekly club during the school year. The summer 5-Day Club outreach offers a unique opportunity for children to interact with trained teenagers.

Child Evangelism Fellowship, which was founded 87 years ago, has been establishing the Good News Club® in countries around the world for decades. Clubs are thriving worldwide, in countries including Australia, Cambodia, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Uganda and many more.

In 2023, through CEF’s combined ministries, more than 25.2 million children worldwide heard the Good News. More than 577,000 teachers were trained around the world.
